Edna Diaz, Co-Director
Edna Diaz is a Mexican-American producer who calls Texas home. She began her career developing stories for non-profit organizations and high-profile brands. In recent years, she has shifted her focus to creating thought-provoking films that highlight the experiences of women and underrepresented communities. Some of her casting credits include La Gloria, Marisol, and Mo, stories that aim to reclaim the humanity behind the political abstractions surrounding immigration in the U.S. She produced director Kenya Gillespie’s AFS grant-winning film GIVE and award-winning filmmaker Nicole Chi’s latest project LOS MOSQUITOS. Edna is the recipient of the 2023 LPB Latino Emerging Filmmakers Fellowship.
Edna Díaz es una productora mexicano-estadounidense que considera a Texas su hogar. Comenzó su carrera desarrollando historias para organizaciones sin fines de lucro y marcas de alto perfil. En los últimos años, ha cambiado su enfoque hacia la creación de películas que invitan a la reflexión y que resaltan las experiencias de las mujeres y las comunidades subrepresentadas. Algunos de sus créditos de casting incluyen La Gloria, Marisol y Mo, historias que apuntan a recuperar la humanidad detrás de las abstracciones políticas que rodean la inmigración en los EE. UU. Produjo la película GIVE, del director Kenya Gillespie, ganadora de un apoyo por AFS, y el último proyecto de la galardonada cineasta Nicole Chi, LOS MOSQUITOS. Edna recibió la beca LPB Latino Emerging Filmmakers Fellowship 2023.
Arturo R. Jiménez, Co-Director
Arturo R. Jiménez is a Mexican filmmaker, journalist and educator. In 2022, Latino Public Broadcasting (LPB) selected Jiménez for their inaugural Latino Emerging Filmmakers Fellowship. In 2023 the Austin Film Society selected Jiménez and his narrative feature film script A Thousand Particles of Light for the Artists Intensive, a multi-day invitational retreat for writer-directors in the development phase of projects. Arturo Jiménez currently lives in Austin, Texas.
Arturo R. Jiménez es un cineasta, periodista y educador mexicano. En el 2022, Latino Public Broadcasting (LPB) seleccionó a Jiménez para su primera beca para cineastas latinos emergentes. En 2023, Austin Film Society seleccionó a Jiménez y su guión de largometraje narrativo A Thousand Particles of Light para el Artists Intensive, un retiro por invitación para escritores-directores en la fase de desarrollo de proyectos. Arturo Jiménez actualmente vive en Austin, TX.

Maggie M. Bailey is an award-winning producer and director, working in both narrative and documentary. Her work explores movement, the body, and human rights, serving as a platform for unheard voices and niche communities. Her past work as a producer has screened in festivals both nationally and internationally including Slamdance, DOC NYC, New Orleans Film Festival, EnergaCAMERIMAGE, BAMcinemaFest, and more. She worked as a producer on SHOUTING DOWN MIDNIGHT, now streaming on Peacock with MSNBC’s series The Turning Point. She is the 2022 recipient of the Producers' Guild of America's Debra Hill Fellowship. She is based in Austin, TX.
