Edna Diaz, Co-Director
Edna Diaz is a Mexican-American filmmaker based in Austin, TX. Her work aims to center the experiences of women and highlight the humanity of underserved communities. She co-directed the short documentary SANGRE VIOLENTA / SANGRE VIOLETA with Arturo R. Jiménez, which won the Texas Audience Award at SXSW. Edna produced Kenya Gillespie’s film GIVE and Nicole Chi’s latest project, LOS MOSQUITOS, winner of the Gotham Film & Media Institute’s annual Student Showcase, in partnership with Focus Features and JetBlue Airlines. She is the recipient of the 2023 LPB Latino Emerging Filmmakers Fellowship and a fellow of the 2023 NOFS Southern Producers Lab. Most recently, she produced LAS HIJAS DE ROSALÍA in collaboration with Tribeca Studios and the Miranda Family Fund. The film is slated to premiere at Tribeca in June 2025..
Edna Díaz es una cineasta mexicoamericana radicada en Austin, Texas. Su trabajo se centra en las experiencias de las mujeres y resalta la humanidad de las comunidades marginadas. Codirigió el cortometraje documental SANGRE VIOLENTA / SANGRE VIOLETA con Arturo R. Jiménez, ganador del Premio del Público de Texas en SXSW. Edna produjo la película GIVE de Kenya Gillespie y el último proyecto de Nicole Chi, LOS MOSQUITOS, ganador de la Muestra Estudiantil anual del Gotham Film & Media Institute, en colaboración con Focus Features y JetBlue Airlines. Arturo R. Jiménez, Co-Director
Arturo R. Jiménez is a Mexican filmmaker, journalist and educator. In 2022, Latino Public Broadcasting (LPB) selected Jiménez for their inaugural Latino Emerging Filmmakers Fellowship. In 2023 the Austin Film Society selected Jiménez and his narrative feature film script A THOUSAND PARTICLES OF LIGHT for the Artists Intensive, a multi-day invitational retreat for writer-directors in the development phase of projects. Arturo Jiménez currently lives in Austin, Texas.

En 2023, Austin Film Society seleccionó a Jiménez y su guión de largometraje narrativo A THOUSAND PARTICLES OF LIGHT para el Artists Intensive, un retiro por invitación para escritores-directores en la fase de desarrollo de proyectos. Maggie M. Bailey is an award-winning producer and director, working in both narrative and documentary. Her work explores movement, the body, and human rights, serving as a platform for unheard voices and niche communities. Her past work as a producer has screened in festivals both nationally and internationally including Slamdance, DOC NYC, New Orleans Film Festival, EnergaCAMERIMAGE, BAMcinemaFest, and more. She worked as a producer on SHOUTING DOWN MIDNIGHT, now streaming on Peacock with MSNBC’s series The Turning Point. She is the 2022 recipient of the Producers' Guild of America's Debra Hill Fellowship. She is based in Austin, TX.
